Drought is one of the major water-related natural hazards. Understanding spatial and temporal variation rainfall great importance in water resources planning management as it related with food security scarce resource, which becomes critical case drought events. The advent GIS to produce spatially interpolated map helps managers undertake appropriate measures relief prioritization mitigation works. Limitation literature on Tripura suggests that study over could help strengthening planes rationalization disaster policies. Hence, present focused investigate persistence severity state India during period 1980-2013, using Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI). Three time scale i.e., 3, 6 12 month scales were opted for study. Gridded monthly precipitation data distributed four districts was used analysis. Significant events detected area selected period.
